statement

My hands move as my predecessors' did for thousands of years, connecting me to them and bringing their techniques through the present and into the future. My mind explores color and shape. The resulting work is formalistic and often spiritual. From book bindings to patchwork festooned with embroidery and appliqué, weaving/tapestry and lace, the craft and needlework that began during my 1970s childhood continues to reflect the world around me as well as the art and craft traditions that inform it.
